1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

  • Account information: Email address and name provided during registration.
  • Social media post drafts: Text you submit for compliance checking. Drafts are processed in real time and are not stored permanently unless you explicitly choose to save them to your audit trail.
  • Compliance check history: If you opt in, we store the results of your compliance checks as part of your audit trail.
  • Payment information: Processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or bank details on our servers.
  • Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and anonymised analytics to improve the service.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide and improve the PostGuard compliance checking service.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To maintain your audit trail (if opted in).
  • To send essential service communications (e.g. billing, security alerts).
  • We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

  • Contract: Processing necessary to provide the service you have subscribed to.
  • Legitimate interest: Analytics and service improvement.
  • Consent: Marketing communications (opt-in only).

5. Data storage and security

Your data is stored on servers located in the EU (Supabase, London region). We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to data is protected by row-level security policies.

6. Data retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days. Compliance check history is retained for as long as you maintain your account. You can delete your data at any time from your account settings.

7. Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing

8. Third-party services

  • Stripe for payment processing.
  • Supabase for data storage and authentication.
  • Anthropic (Claude) for AI compliance analysis. Post text is sent to Anthropic's API for analysis and is subject to their data processing terms.
  • Vercel for hosting and analytics.

9. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We use Vercel Analytics for anonymised usage data. No advertising or tracking cookies are used.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email.
